2025/2026 LSYS Basketball
Recreational youth basketball returns for the 2025/2026 season! The schedule will include Saturday games and one practice per week during the months of November through February, depending on the age of the player.
We operate solely on VOLUNTEERS and we NEED YOU! Please consider helping out in any way you can. Coaches and assistant coaches are our greatest need, even if you don't have prior experience. This will be my last year operating the Basketball side of LSYS, so if you are interested in taking over Basketball, please reach out at [email protected].
Lake Spokane Youth Sports (LSYS) Basketball is a recreational co-ed league hosted in the greater Nine Mile Falls area for Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Our goal is for local kids to have fun learning and playing basketball without traveling too far from home. And, we keep our costs super low by being fully operated by volunteers. The cost is $40 for each participant. All participants will receive a basketball to use for practice and keep at the end of the season.
SEASON DATES
In order for LSYS to ensure that we have adequate gym time for practices and games we work with the Athletic Director of the Nine Mile Falls School District on schedules. To accommodate the amount of participants in our program, we split our program into two sessions.
LITTLES/Session 1 will consist of the PreK/TK/K and 1st/2nd grade teams.
November 3 - December 20, 2025. Games on 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, 12/13, 12/20
BIGS/Session 2 will be the 3rd/4th graders and the 5th/6th graders.
January 5 - February 21, 2026. Games on 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21
We do our best to honor coach and/or teammate requests, however, due to the number of participants it sometimes doesn't happen. The best way to ensure you're getting the day/time of your preferred practice time is to sign up to coach! If you have questions or concerns, please email us at [email protected].

There is a max of 8 players on each PreK/TK/K teams and 10 players on each 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade teams.
