The year 2023 and onward will provide our baseball community more opportunity and even more baseball than any other. We have a new President David Hough, and new members on our board who are ready to take this year head on!
The Hood River Whitecaps prioritizes the following -
Local: Our players. The Whitecaps will be comprised of players from local Little League, JBO and Babe Ruth leagues in both Oregon and Washington.
Affordable: 10/11/12/13/14u-$600.00
Fun: The Whitecaps encourage players to engage in as many sports as possible.
- 1-2 practices a week depending on age, availability and weather.
- Inter-organizational games during early spring.
- Teams will have inter-organizational games and will compete in at least 7 weekend tournaments starting in March.
- Nearby tournaments – most within a 90-minute drive.
Complementing schedule: No conflicts with Little League, JBO and Babe Ruth leagues. This is a supplemental program in most cases.
Quality Coaching: Our coaches will implement the philosophies and culture of the HRVHS Baseball/Athletics program. All head coaches will have attended the American Baseball Coaches Association Virtual Convention to learn and grow as a coach of both baseball and character development.
Why create the Hood River Whitecaps? When the regular season ends, parents and players deserve a nearby, low cost, low logistics, high-quality baseball program. Specifically, one that preserves fun, and prepares players to compete and win.
