The Cleveland Force Soccer Club & The Internationals Soccer Club have come together to combine its
next tier of male top players into the National Premier League under the Internationals charter member
status in the U.S. Club Soccer affiliated league. The teams will play as Cleveland Internationals Soccer
Academy (CISA) and include 13 and 14 year old boys teams by birth year, respectively, in the fall season
and 13 through 18/19 year old boys teams by birth year, respectively, in the spring season and share
qualified and experienced coaches from both programs. The goal of each team is to win the regional &
national finals.
The advantages for Cleveland Force include access to a very competitive and exclusive league for its
deserved players, U.S. Club affiliation- single player carding, a clear route to championship, college scouting
opportunities and preferred college showcase events, and all teams within the club have similar home and
away game schedules creating camaraderie between families/players and consistent coaching as compared
to the league we have participated in the past.
The National Premier League was created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by
extending developmental principles espoused by U.S. Soccer into more age groups and clubs, by linking
competition with player development and identification platforms and by providing meaningful weekly
competition culminating in the NPL Finals. NPLs are independent leagues, unified under one national
competition platform and based on a common technical framework designed to improve long-term player
development.
The NPL Provides A Platform:
· Focused on long-term player development;
· For the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately
scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios;
· That allows players to be scouted and evaluated by U.S. Soccer National Staff and Technical Advisors;
· That is designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs; and
· That provides an avenue for qualification for the NPL Finals.
