Amery Girls Basketball Booster Club
There will be a basketball league for any interested girls in first through eighth grade. The purpose of the league is to learn and develop basic basketball fundamentals, enhance our basketball program, and participate in tournament play. Practice dates and times will be determined by coaches at a later date.
1st - 2nd Grades: The cost will be $30.00 per girl (this also includes a t-shirt). 1st-2nd grade girls participate in Little Dribblers. The dates and times will be emailed to parents. During Little Dribblers, players learn basketball fundamentals in a fun, noncompetitive manner.
3rd grade: The cost will be $20.00 per girl and $30 for a jersey. 3rd grade girls participate in Little Dribblers. The dates and times will be emailed to parents. During Little Dribblers, players learn basketball fundamentals in a fun, noncompetitive manner.
4th grade: The cost will be $30.00 per girl (and $30 for a jersey if needed). 4th grade girls participate in practices and scrimmages in the fall. The dates and times will be emailed to parents. Parents are expected to help with home tournaments. The goal is to continue to develop fundamentals and practice these skills in scrimmages.
5th through 8th grades: The cost will be $60.00 per girl (and $30 for a jersey if needed). The fee will help cover most tournament fees and a donation for our home tournament concession stands. Parents are expected to help with home tournaments. Your home tournament responsibilities, practices, and tournaments will be emailed to you by your coach.
Basketball season for each grade typically are as follows:
1st & 2nd grades: Develop and learn basketball basics. Currently looking at 4 Saturdays in January and/or February
3rd grade: Develop basketball basics. Currently looking at practices in January, February, and/or March
4th grade: Play Saturday non-competitive tournaments usually October – December.
5th & 6th grades: Play Saturday tournaments usually January through February.
7th & 8th grades: Play Saturday tournaments October through December (though can go through February).

*** Signing up your daughter has its obligations. We hope to host a tournament in Amery for 4th-8th grades. You will be expected to help in some capacity at one of these tournaments. Coaches will send you information on what you are expected to help with.
***Tournaments do charge fees for admissions and concessions for adults and students. Carry in coolers, etc. are not allowed when you go to another school. Concessions and admissions are used as fundraisers by booster programs.

To submit Liability Waiver/Concussion forms online, have each parent from the team visit our website at gnbl.org, then click on "Waiver/Concussion Info" in the top menu bar. From there they can follow the online instructions. Parents must complete this process once each season (even if they filled it out last season, we need a new waiver submitted for the 2019-2020 season).
