2019 UCFSA 8UFall League
NFHS will be rules of play with the following exceptions
Age Qualifications - Any player eligible for 8U as of January 1, 2020 may play in fall league.
Playing field
Pitching distance: 35 ft.
Base path: 60 ft.
Player substitutions
A team may play with seven (7) of their own players and pick up, up to three (3) players to field a team.
If a team has less than 9 players, not due to an injury, the 9th spot in the rotation will be an out. If you have 7 players, 8 and 9 in the rotation will be out
Contact all coaches within the league for pick up players before going outside the league.
A team must bat all available players in attendance. Open substitution applies.
If a player gets injured or has to leave the game for any reason, that player is skipped in the lineup and no out is recorded. The player may re-enter in a later inning.
Defense can field 10 players
Game
The game will be 4 innings minimum for a complete game. The last inning will be announced at the hour and 15-minute mark
Runs per inning
A team may go up by 5 runs. Example: 3-0, team ties with 3 runs goes up by 5 runs, score is now 3-8.
If they are already up by 5 runs, the most a team can score is 5 runs in one inning. Example: 5-0, the team with 5 runs can only score 5 runs that inning, making score 10-0
8U
Coach Pitch. Each batter gets 6 pitches from the team coach
After the 6th pitch or 3 strikes swinging the batter is out unless it is a foul ball
Base running
No players are permitted to steal while the coach is pitching. However, they may lead off with the pitch.
The play will continue until the lead runner has been stopped and the ball is in control in the pitches circle.
