Dear Parents and Student-Athletes;

Thank you for registering for Nashville Rowing Juniors Programming 2024: Semester 2. We're excited to get both new and returning rowers on the water! You will note that this year we have opted to move to a two semeseter system rather than Fall, Winter, and Spring. This is inline with the majority of our peers and other rowing organizations, and gives everyone the opportunity for both continuity and flexibility as we transition from the water to land in November and back to land in March.

Semester 2 will officially begin on Monday January 1st and and will run through May 15th at Hamilton Creek Marina on Percy Priest Lake, with a transition to land based training after Head of the Hooch regatta. We anticipate utilizing both sweep and sculling boats this year, as well as opportunities to erg and take part in baseline testing throughout the "on water" season! Our goal continues to be to make sure we are getting athletes on the water in a safe, fun, and fulfilling manner.

Competitive (Highschool): Monday, Wednesday, Friday (4:00-6:00 PM), Tuesday, Thursday (4:00-6:30 PM), and Saturday (9:00-11:30) plus regatta weekends.

Development: Tuesday/Thursday (4:00-6:30 PM) will be the offering for Spring Development Program. If we have enough interest, participants, and consistency we will be able to offer opportunities for U15/16 races at various points as well!

This program is for retuning development rowers as well as NEW athletes. This includes athletes that started during Winter Training League and would like to get on the water this Spring. Racing is not required or expected for Development Program athletes, but for those that progress quickly and have interest, there is opportunity to move up to Competitive (additional fees required) or participate in a home race.

All Adult Spring Programs require an active Individual, Student, or Family membership to participate. For questions about programming and participation contact Coach Max at [email protected].

Out of Town Membership is available to adults who would otherwise qualify to be Individual Members, but have elected to obtain an Out of Town Membership instead of a Individual Membership, and reside more than seventy miles from the NRC address for federal tax purposes, when measured in a straight line. Out of Town members shall have no voting rights. The use of NRC equipment and facilities by Out of Town members is subject to the restrictions set out in the NRC policy manual. Checking out equipment will only be allowed once an idividual is safety check certified.

A Family Membership provides a family of 2+ athletes to participate in our Programs (for Juniors, members get pro-rated prices on Programs as well), use Club Equipment that you can reserve (adults), represent Nashville Rowing at races, have one vote for your family in Annual Board of Director Elections, have access to pertinent club information, and be a part of our growing family! Each additional member above 2 adds an aditional $100 per person.

A Student Member has the ability to row for our Youth or Adult programs depending on age. For those in Adult Programs, they have the ability reserve Club Equipment as long as they are an enrolled student in a school for higher education and have passed the proper certification requirements. Student Members have the ability to use Club Equipment that you can reserve (adults), represent Nashville Rowing at races, vote in Annual Board of Director Elections, have access to pertinent club information, and be a part of our growing family!
