Thank you for seeking out our Learn-to-Row Program.

Our goal is to have this opportunity be enjoyable, safe, and to help develop a passion for the sport of rowing in all participants. By the time you finish this program we look forward to bringing you into our sport's community here in Nashville with several program level options to choose from. We look forward to helping your learn about, and enjoy this sport we love and it's balance of self-improvement, teamwork, and fun competitive opportunities.

Juniors Program Options

2024 Juniors Programming: Semester One

Our Juniors Programs are for athletes between the ages of 12 and 19 years old who want to tap their personal potential & discover applicable life skills, through athletic growth. We provide appropriate developmental training designed to develop the whole athlete and prepare them for day to day challenges, and high level competition!

Blue Group

Open to athletes grades 8-12.
Expected to attend all regattas, both home and away, including the Percy Priest Cup Series. 
Expected to attend all, or at least the vast majority of practices (Monday-Friday afternoons and Saturday morning).
Athletes are expected to communicate any absences ahead of time with coaches.
Attendance policy in effect starting 8/19 (see below for details).

Yellow Group

Open to athletes grades 6-8.
Option to attend all home regattas and participate in the Percy Priest Cup Series. 
Practice options Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday.
Two different registration options; either a 2 day/ week option or the 4 day/week option. There will be a cost difference between the two reflecting the amount of days you decide to register for. 
No attendance policy.
As you can see, 8th graders have the option to join either team based off of the level of commitment they are looking for. It is important to note that no experience is needed to join either group!

2024 Summer Youth Learn-to-Row Program

Our 2024 Youth Learn-to-Row programs are for kids of all athletic backgrounds entering the 6th-12th grades (that means no experience necessary!). The programs runs (Mon-Fri), and provide opportunites to teach the necessary fundamentals for participation in our development and competitive groups in the fall. As we do set up the necessary staffing and equipment well in advance, program fees are non-refundable. In certain cases we can transfer Program Fees to future programs.

Our Learn to Row Program will run from 8:00 AM- 10:30 AM Monday through Friday.

Masters Program Options

2024 Development Programming

This program is for NEW rowers as well as returning Development athletes. This includes athletes that recently completed a Learn to Row session, or have previous rowing experience but need to shake off the rust and get comfortable on the water again. Racing is not required or expected for Development Program athletes, but for those that progress well and have interest there is opportunity to move up to Competitive (additional fees required).

All of our Adult/Masters Programs require an active Individual, Student, or Family membership to participate. Memberships turn over for renewal starting July 1st for everyone, so if you have not yet completed your Membership Renewal, please do that at the same time, or before completing this program registration. 2024 Masters Competitive Fall

This program is for returning competitive and experienced rowers, and those in Development that feel that they are ready to move up to the Competitive team.

Fall Racing:

Regatta fees (with the exception of Head of the Charles) are included in this Fall Season's fee. We will have the following racing opportunities this Fall:

  • Music City Head Race
  • Head of the Charles (pending bids)
  • Around the Bear
  • Head of the Hooch

All of our Adult/Masters Programs require an active Individual, Student, or Family membership to participate. Annual Membership Options

2024-2025 Out Of Town Membership (Non-Voting)

Out of Town Membership is available to adults who would otherwise qualify to be Individual Members, but have elected to obtain an Out of Town Membership instead of a Individual Membership, and reside more than seventy miles from the NRC address for federal tax purposes, when measured in a straight line. Out of Town members shall have no voting rights. The use of NRC equipment and facilities by Out of Town members is subject to the restrictions set out in the NRC policy manual. Checking out equipment will only be allowed once an individual is safety check certified.

Our Membership Dues and Program Fees alone do not cover the full operating costs of Nashville Rowing, and we rely on generous donations and fundraising opportunities throughout the year to make up the gap.

An Individual Member has the ability to row for our Programs outside of Learn-to-Row, use certain reservable Club Equipment (adults), represent Nashville Rowing at races, vote in Annual Board of Director Elections, have access to pertinent club information, be covered under our insurance, and be a part of our growing family! 

Our Membership Dues and Program Fees alone do not cover the full operating costs of Nashville Rowing, and we rely on generous donations and fundraising opportunities throughout the year to make up the gap.

Indiviual Membership

A Family Membership provides a family of 2+ athletes to participate in our Programs (for Juniors, members get pro-rated prices on Programs as well), use Club Equipment that you can reserve (adults), represent Nashville Rowing at races, have one vote for your family in Annual Board of Director Elections, have access to pertinent club information, and be a part of our growing family! Each additional member above 2 adds an aditional $100 per person.

Our Membership Dues and Program Fees alone do not cover the full operating costs of Nashville Rowing, and we rely on generous donations and fundraising opportunities throughout the year to make up the gap.

A Student Member has the ability to row for our Youth or Adult programs depending on age. For those in Adult Programs, they have the ability reserve Club Equipment as long as they are an enrolled student in a school for higher education and have passed the proper certification requirements. Student Members have the ability to use Club Equipment that you can reserve (adults), represent Nashville Rowing at races, have access to pertinent club information, and be a part of our growing family! 

Our Membership Dues and Program Fees alone do not cover the full operating costs of Nashville Rowing, and we rely on generous donations and fundraising opportunities throughout the year to make up the gap.
