The SSA Coastal Georgia Select (Travel) program is geared toward players that have a desire to develop their skills at a competitive level especially for those who would like to play at the high school or collegiate level.

The program is designed to advance the development of our players, enhancing individual and team skills. Travel players receive soccer technique and tactics training each week from a licensed youth soccer coach, under the supervision of the SSA Coastal Director of Coaching.

Travel teams range in age from U13 through U19 in the fall and U13 through U14 in the spring.  Some U15 teams will play in the spring, it is on a team by team basis. Travel teams compete against teams from other communities, generally within a two-hour drive. Teams that play in North Florida Youth Soccer League, EDP League, Southeastern Club Champions League will at times play against teams in the Jacksonville FL or Metro Atlanta area. This will require a solid commitment to travel. The teams and their schedules will be carefully scheduled and SSA Coastal will support every effort to minimize costs and time on the road for each committed team.

Teams are placed in leagues and divisions that are appropriate for their skill level. Teams play a league schedule and enter tournaments each season, as directed by the club.

U13 - U19 teams are selected through open try-outs that are conducted in early June. Team selection involves a variety of activities where participants are evaluated for individual and team skills and their understanding of the game.
