RECREATIONAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW

 This program, designed for three year olds, introduces kids to an organized activity with other children and a club trainer. The kids meet once a week for about 45 minutes. Instruction includes fun activities that focuses on individual work with a ball. Each child receives a t-shirt and a ball.

Parent/guardian or an acceptable older sibling is required to be present at every session and strongly encouraged to participate to increase the child’s sense of comfort.

This is the first age group that has teams and kids meet twice a week (1 x practice on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday depending on coach preference, and 1 x game on Thursday evenings). Children need to have a uniform to participate. The program provides an exciting introduction to soccer in a friendly and non-competitive environment. The program creates an enjoyable environment for players to develop their basic soccer skills and understanding of the game. Practice focuses on improving individual ball skills such as dribbling, shooting, and movement education (running, jumping, turning, balancing) are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities.

Teams are led by a volunteer head coach that conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director.

Click HERE.The 7U/8U program continues to provide an exciting introduction to soccer in a friendly and non-competitive environment while consisting of a mixture of beginners and moderately experienced players. With this in mind, the program creates an enjoyable and challenging environment for players to develop their soccer skills and understanding of the game through reinforcing aspects of soccer coached in 6U and introducing players to more advanced aspects of soccer. Dribbling, shooting, passing, receiving, juggling and movement education, such as running, jumping, turning, balancing are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities. Kids practice once a week with a separate 5v5 game on Saturdays. Practices, an hour in length, are designed to improve individual ball skills and introduce the concept of team play. Children need to have a uniform to participate. Trophies are provided by the club for every child.

Click HERE.10U creates a fun, soccer environment in which players learn to enjoy the game through greater skills. Individual player development continues to be the focus as team concepts are introduced. Fundamental soccer techniques are reinforced and players are introduced to individual and team tactics of the game through exposure to a variety of soccer positions. Principles of attacking and defending are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities. Players are placed in coed or all girls teams that are led by a volunteer head coach who conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director. Teams practice twice a week for an hour and play regularly scheduled 7v7 (including goalkeepers) soccer games typically on Saturdays. All of the rules of soccer are in effect for games.More....

Click HERE.12U creates a fun, soccer environment in which players learn to enjoy the game through greater skills. Individual player development continues to be the focus as team concepts are reinforced. Fundamental soccer techniques are reinforced and players continue to develop individual and team tactics of the game through exposure to a variety of soccer positions. Principles of attacking and defending are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities. Players are placed in coed or all girls teams that are led by a volunteer head coach who conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director. Teams practice twice a week for an hour and play regularly scheduled 9 v 9 (including goalkeepers) soccer games typically on Saturdays. Click HERE.13U to 19U creates a positive soccer environment for players to continue to develop their ball skills, enjoyment, and insight into the game. The focus of these programs is player development with healthy competition. Players will likely consist of a mixture of beginners along with players that have been exposed to soccer through their club, school, or friends. Principles of attacking and defending are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities. Players are placed in coed or all girls teams that are led by a volunteer head coach who conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director. Team practice nights are determined by the volunteer head coach. Teams practice twice a week for an hour and play regularly scheduled 11v11 (including goalkeepers) soccer games typically on Saturdays, though some games may be scheduled on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons in order to ensure that a complete season of games in played.
