The All Star Atlanta Competitive Program is designed for the serious soccer player. Training focuses on the individual technical development of each player while also incorporating team tactics.  Players at this level can expect both rigorous training and a demanding game/tournament schedule.  Competitive teams also play in FASL (Florida Alliance Soccer League)  tournaments that provide qualifying opportunities for the GA State Cup and the GAA Region Cup. 

Overview

         Players must tryout for positions on Competitive teams.  Regular tryouts are held in May or early June of each year.  

·        Teams participate in scheduled games in and away from Atlanta. Tournament play
                   varies from 2-4 per season.

·       Tournaments are usually 3-4 games over one or two days and frequently require overnight stays.

·       Teams practice two to three times a week. Session are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (times announced by coaches) unless
                   otherwise set by the coach.

·      Technical and specialty training sessions at various points during the season.

·       Training T-Shirt(s) provided.  2 Uniform kit required.
  
         Requires a one year playing commitment (fall and spring seasons).
    
         Player birth certificate required for FYSA age verification (no exceptions).

Program fees for Competitive teams vary depending on the number of tournaments teams participate in each season.  Currently, fees range from $675 to $845 for the year.  These program fees cover all All Star Atlanta player fees and team entry fees into tournaments selected by coaches prior to the start of each year. If teams participate in additional tournaments above the number pre-determined at the beginning of the year, players/parents will be responsible for those additional entry fees.  Players and parents are responsible for their own travel expenses (food, transportation and lodging) to, from and during away games and tournaments.

Every year, competitive players must purchase a new uniform kit. The kit consists of 2 game jerseys (one white, one royal), 2 game shorts, and 2 pairs of game socks. Players may wear the uniforms for a full year provided: 1) The uniform remains in good condition; 2) Players have all pieces of their uniform kit (some special orders of individual pieces may be possible but not guaranteed); and, 3) All Star Atlanta does not change the uniform kit design or manufacturer.  The 2015-16 uniform kit cost is $75.00 and the manufacturer is Inaria.
