SHOOTATHON MATERIALS - FRIDAY MARCH 27th

FREE THROW SHOOTATHON & CONTEST PROGRAM WIDE FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY  - FRIDAY, MARCH 27th

This year, in addition to each team’s individual fundraising responsibilities, we are holding a program-wide fundraiser, our 1st annual “Stamford Peace Free Throw Shootathon Contest”.  This Shootathon will be held on Friday, March 27th at the Stamford JCC from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.  Each team is assigned a time slot (see the attached flyer), and will shoot at its own dedicated basket.  Every player will shoot a total of 100 free throws – in increments of 10.  In advance, you will be asked to individually obtain pledges of either a set dollar amount or an amount paid for each free throw you make.  No pledge is too big or too small!!!  Accordingly, 100% player participation is encouraged!!!

Example:

Dollar amount per free throw - Pledge of $1.00 per made free throw.  You make 80 of 100 (80% -- well done!) = total donation secured will be $80.00.

OR

Set dollar donation of $80.00 - Collect $80, regardless of how many free throws you make.

The Stamford Peace Free Throw Shootathon & Contest is simple and a fun way to help Stamford Peace raise needed funds, while offering further friendly competition among teammates and the program as a whole.  In addition to rewards for the top three money raisers, the female and male player who shoots the highest free throw percentage will both receive a prize and earn their names on a plaque as the first “2015 Stamford Peace Free Throw Contest Winner”.
