About Minor League

The Minor League is for younger or less experienced players, generally ages 5 to 11. Walla Walla Little League offers two Minor League divisions:

  • Coach-Pitch Division — for players ages 5 to 7, as well as players who have completed a year in Tee Ball.
  • Player-Pitch Division — for players ages 8 to 10.

Games are played on a 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 46 feet. Rosters typically include 12 to 15 players, though they may have up to 20.

Parents are strongly encouraged to get involved at this level — whether as coaches, team parents, or volunteers. The Minor League is where players build the fundamentals and confidence that carry them through the rest of their Little League experience.

Minors (ages 8–10) and Majors (ages 10–12) tryouts will be held the first two weekends in March.
