ATL World Series Champs

L.J. Hepp, Camp Director

  • Head Coach: Holly Springs High School Boys' Basketball and Girls’ Lacrosse
  • Experience as a NCAA D-1 Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball (UNC/Graduate Assistant Coach, USC/Director of Basketball Operations, Stanford University/Assistant Coach) as well as experience as a Professional League Head Coach overseas (Oita HeatDevils/BJ League/Japan)
  • In 18 seasons as a high school coach, 47 of Coach Hepp’s student-athletes have advanced to play college sports. 30 of those 47 have been to NCAA Division-I schools. Coach Hepp’s high school teams have won 12 Conference Championships in his 18 seasons as a high school coach.
  • In Coach Hepp’s first year at Holly Springs HS (2019), he helped guide both the boys’ basketball team and the girls’ lacrosse team to their first winning seasons in the 13-year history of the school. Within his first three years, both programs completed undefeated Conference Championship seasons, advanced deep into the NCHSAA State Playoffs, and Coach Hepp was named Conference Coach of the Year in both boys’ basketball and girls’ lacrosse.
  • During the 2021-22 school year, Coach Hepp's fourth year at Holly Springs, both the boys' basketball team and the girls' lacrosse team broke the school record for wins in a season. The girls' lacrosse team reached the NCHSAA 4A Final Four for the first time in school history.
  • In the 2022-23 school year, the boys' basketball team again broke the school record for wins, became back-to-back Conference Champions, and reached the NCHSAA 4A Final Four for the first time in school history.  The girls' lacrosse team became Conference Champions for 3rd season in a row and advanced to the 3rd Round in the NCHSAA State Playoffs.
  • Coach Hepp grew up in North Carolina playing basketball and baseball at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill earning an undergraduate degree in Business Administration while playing JV Basketball for the Tar Heels. He then continued with UNC Basketball as a graduate assistant after playing, earning a masters degree in Sport Administration, and pursuing a career in coaching.

The Hepp Family

Coach Hepp and his wife Sondra are blessed with 4 children: Colby (12), Jacob (10), Luke (6), and baby girl Casey (welcomed Fall 2022!).  With a recent move, the Hepp's are excited to now call Holly Springs "home" with the kiddos attending Holly Ridge Middle and Elementary and Coach Hepp in his 7th school year teaching and coaching at Holly Springs High.  Sondra was a middle school math teacher for six years prior to the arrival of the children.  She is an avid runner, in addition to
being Supermom.  The kids are an active (and loud) crew that enjoy playing basketball and lacrosse when they have down time from their surfing careers.

About Our Club

United Soccer Club (USC)
, formerly known as Thompson Soccer Association, was established in 1985 with the objective of providing more advanced play than what was available through the City of Loveland’s Parks and Recreation program.

United started small and has grown exponentially, especially in the last five years. In our first season we had only two U19 Girls recreational teams. By 1989, the club was fielding boys and girls teams in the U14, U16 and U19 age groups and by 2014 grew to 14 competitive teams, two developmental teams, and three pre-club teams for younger players being introduced to competitive soccer.

Today USC fields approximately 33 girls and boys competitive teams for the U11 to U19 age groups with teams playing at all levels of competition from Challenge to Premier. The club also fields nine U9-U10 teams, in addition to the 4v4 Youth Development Program for 6 to 8 year olds who want to build a solid foundation in the fundamentals of the sport.

USC is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit youth development organization led by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Club is a member of Colorado Soccer Association (CSA), and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

OUR VISION is to be the premier soccer club known for developing players to their highest potential in competition and character without compromising fun and the love of the game. The core values that support our vision and drive our mission are passion, excellence and honor.

OUR MISSION is to empower every player, of every ability, to become the best player and best human being they can be.

United SC prides itself on being the heart of competitive youth soccer in Loveland, Colorado, and the Northern Colorado community.

We are UNITED!

UNITED SC PROGRAMS

U6-U84v4 Youth Development Program: Our 4v4 program is for youth ages 6-8 years old. The program teaches our youngest players a strong foundation in the basic core skills of soccer so they learn the correct way to play from the start. This is a great program to prepare young players for our competitive programs.

U9-U10

Non-Competitive Program:

The objective of the non-competitive Developmental Program is to teach players a more skillful understanding of the game of soccer in a fun and stimulating environment. The focus is on developing their skills to help them be the best soccer players they can be, while maintaining a healthy approach to pre-competitive soccer.
