What paperwork do I need to turn in after online registration?
- 2024 Participant Contract & Parental Consent Form
- 2024 Physical Fitness Medical History Form
- A copy of Birth Certificate
- Two copies of most recent report card
- 2x2 Headshot

When do practices start?
Our first practice for the 2024 spring flag season will begin mid May. 

How many hours of practice does my child need to be eligible (Tackle Only)?
Tackle football players are required to have a total of 20 hours; 10 hours of non-contact practice and 10 hours of contact practice before they are eligible to play in games.

Where are practices held?
Practices are held at ESM Pop Warner field behind East Syracuse Elementary.

What team will my child play on?
The ESM Pop Warner Board will evaluate player registration numbers as well as your child's age for team placement.

What equipment do I need to have?
For Tackle: Cleats, water bottles, mouth guards, practice pants, and football gloves (optional). Helmets and shoulder pads will be provided to each player.

For Flag: Cleats, water bottles, mouth guard.

When/where is equipment pickup?
Equipment pickup dates TBA.

What equipment will we receive at equipment pickup?
Each tackle football player will receive the following:
- helmet with chin strap
- shoulder pads
- players will receive the game uniform later in August

What days of the week are practices?
Tackle practices are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6-8:30 pm. During school practices will be three days a week chosen by coaches and from 6-7:30 pm.

Flag practice is 2 days a week 6-7:30pm.

When do games start/end?
Fall Tackle: Games typically start around Labor Day in September and run for 7-8 weeks, ending around mid-October. Tackle teams have the possibility of making it into the playoffs, which can go longer.

Where do we play games?
Games will take place at different locations around CNY. Check with your coaches and team parents.

What if my child does not meet the Pop Warner Scholastic Requirement of minimum 70% or 2.0 GPA? What if my child is homeschooled? What if my child is under 6 and does not have a report card?
If your child does not meet the scholastic requirement, you need to complete the Scholastic Eligibility Form. Refer to the Registration page and ensure to include this as part of your registration.

If your child is homeschooled, there is a separate form for this. Please email us at [email protected] with your specific request, and we will provide you the form.

Lastly, if your child is under 6 and does not have a report card, please email us at [email protected] of your situation, and we will try to work with you.
