Player Evaluations:

Player evaluations are critical for establishing draft pools. These draft pools allow managers to draft balanced teams, which will make for a more enjoyable and competitive season. While player evaluations are often called “tryouts,” it is important to note that every player will be placed on a team. If a player does not attend an evaluation session, that player cannot be drafted to a team, but instead will be randomly assigned to a team within the lowest division the player qualifies for after the draft.

Who Needs to Attend?

Any player who will be playing in a competitive division (10U / MINOR A and up), or any player wanting to play up in a division. For example, an 8-year-old wanting to play in the 10 U division would be required to attend a player evaluation session.

Dates of Player Evaluations:

January 27, 2024, from 9:00AM – 1:00pm

February 3, 2024, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Evaluation location TBD. Players only need to attend one of the sessions.

What Should the Players Bring?

Players should bring their glove, cleats, and a hat. They are encouraged to bring a bat and helmet if they have them. Boys should wear a protective cup. All players should dress in comfortable athletic clothing.

What to Expect

Players will be evaluated in running, agility, fielding ground balls, fielding flyballs, throwing and hitting.
