As we play the last few games in the Fall 2024 season, we want to reach out to you, our Shepaug FC community, with an update about the Club and to say a huge THANK YOU for supporting the club this season and in past seasons.
As many of you know, this Fall 2024 season, we faced some uncertainty and challenges in setting up our teams, schedule, and season. We appreciate your flexibility during this time. We have some new people who support the Club on the Board as we balance the workload and responsibilities of Board members, which will enable us to be much more proactive.
For Spring 2025, we are much further ahead of the season, which will help us plan teams and schedules, and we hope to avoid the challenges we faced this past season. In fact, we have set up Spring 2025 Shepaug FC registration, which is now open here. Normal registration extends until March 1st, 2025, and if you sign up before January 1st, 2025 you will receive an Early Bird discount (Travel Program only). We encourage you to register as soon as possible to help us better organize the rosters and the season. After March 1st, 2025, late fees apply, and after March 10th, 2025, we may not be able to ensure a spot on one of the Shepaug FC teams.
Shepaug FC is a self-managed not-for-profit organization, and we rely on your support in Coaching and on the Board. Specifically, we are in deep need for Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers. In order to set up a team in the Travel Program, for example, a U13 Girls team, we would need at least a Coach and either an Assistant Coach or a Team Manager. If you would be willing to coach or help in any way for Spring 2025, please reply to Daniel Ifcher at [email protected] with your willingness to coach or manage. Our plan would be for you to coach the team where your son or daughter would play. Thank you in advance.
A quick note about the Winter 2025 indoor season/practice is that we are looking into this so please stay tuned.
