2026 Spring Registration - Baseball & Softball

2026 Spring Little League BASEBALL

Teaneck Southern Little League sponsors a variety of programs including six levels of play for Baseball.
FOUR-YEAR-OLD CLINIC is offered for 4 year old boys and girls. Players are taught the basics of throwing, catching, hitting and conditioning in a fun environment. 

TEE BALL is offered for 5 and 6 year old boys and girls. In this division, the players learn basic concepts of baseball in a non-competitive setting. Batting tees are utilized with an introduction to Coach Pitch during the season. No scores or standings are kept in the Tee Ball program.

ROOKIE DIVISION is offered for players age 7 through 8 years old. At this level, pitching is introduced resulting in a more realistic game. Both coaches and players will pitch during the season. No scores or standings are kept in the Rookie Division. 

MINOR DIVISION is offered for players age 9 through 10 years old. At this level, players pitch in all games. While game scores are kept and teams compete for the league championship, these are secondary to the developmental aspects of the division.

MAJOR DIVISION is our most competitive level, for players 11 through 12 years old who play an entire season on a bigger field, the Phil Apreda Field. All first year Major Division players must try out before advancing to the Majors (see information below). Friendly competition and teamwork are stressed, and players work for places on tournament teams.

JUNIOR DIVISION is offered for 13 to 14 year old players. The division is designed to introduce players to the “Big Field” and prepare them for high school baseball in a fun and competitive environment. Junior League players will compete against teams from other nearby towns.

2026 Spring Little League SOFTBALL

Teaneck Southern Little League sponsors a variety of programs for girls aged 7 through 14. There are four levels of play comparable to their baseball equivalents: 
 
SOFTBALL ROOKIE DIVISION is offered to 7 through 8 year old girls. At this level, pitching is introduced. Both coaches and players will pitch during the season. No scores or standings are kept in the Softball Rookie Division.
 
SOFTBALL MINORS DIVISION is offered to 9 through 10 year old girls. At this level, players pitch and scores and standings are kept.
 
SOFTBALL MAJOR DIVISION is offered to 11 through 12 year old girls. This is the most competitive level of softball. All first year Major League players must try-out before advancing to the Majors (see information below).
 
SOFTBALL JUNIOR DIVISION is offered to 13 through 14 year old girls. This is the highest competitive level of softball.
