How many games are there?
Each week there are 3-4 Minors games, 3 Majors games, and 1 Seniors game (7-8 total). The season runs 11 weeks.

What are the dress code requirements?
Black pants, shoes, and belt; blue polo or button-down shirt; ball cap; ball/strike/out counter; plate brush, chest pad, face mask

Do junior umps need face mask and chest pad for HP duty?
Junior umps will likely serve as field ump for most part, but please do show up prepared w/all equipment in case other ump doesn't show.

How do umps get assigned?
The umpiring coordinator assigns umpires to each game via the Pioneer website. Each of the two umps assigned will be auto-sent an RSVP email. Please RSVP Yes (Green box) or No (Red box) ASAP. Save the email. If you initially accept the game, but later need to decline, you can go back to the email and Decline.

How are umps paid?
At the end of each weekend, the umpiring coordinator provides list of payments to be processed to the Pioneer treasurer. The treasurer usually pays within 14 days. All payments are via PayPal.

Game Time Max
2:15 Max (Minors), no Max for Majors. Extra $25/ump if goes over 2:15 (let Rick know afterwards). Please discuss with coaches ahead of time.

How are games cancelled?
Rick will cancel on the website, which auto-generates a cancellation email to coaches, players, and umpires. Rick will also text if you provide me with a cell #, and also notify through the GameChanger app.

How do I view my schedule?
Login to PBSL.org. Click on "My Account" in the top right corner. Click on the umpire name (most families have multiple kids / parents in the system). Then on left hand side, click on Officials Area. Click on Create Schedule. Your scheduled events will populate.
