West Nyack Little League

WNLL History

West Nyack Little League was founded in 1959, breaking away from the Clarkstown Little League. Four major league teams played that first season as the Yankees emerged as champions; the other teams were the Braves, Pirates and Red Sox.

 

RETIRED UNIFORM NUMBERS:

Twins #6 - John Flaherty (1980 LL graduate). Major League player, 1992-2005. Number retired, September 1995.

Twins #15 - Tom Foley (1981 LL graduate). New York City Firefighter, lost his life saving others 9/11/01. Number retired, April 2002.
