Football and is a “community” sport. It needs the involvement of all of the families of all of the players. Even if you don’t know a thing about football, there are plenty of things that you can do to help. We ask that each family take on some volunteer responsibility.

Team Parent

The Team Mom works out the details and duties with their Team's Head Coach, based upon his requests and requirements. The basic duties usually include helping with the administrative/organizing for the team, which then allows the coach to concentrate on coaching duties. Responsible for maintaining “THE BOOK” (contains all league required participant documents and MPR’S), weighing players on game day. 

Checker/Spotter

Tracks playing time to ensure minimum play requirements are met. Checker is positioned on opposing sideline to mark off opponents minimum plays. Spotter calls out player #’s on home team side to Checker sent over from other team.

Chain Gang (3 volunteers per home game)

The Chain Gang is responsible for holding the down markers.  Chain Gang volunteers will be on the field but cannot communicate with the players, coaches, or referees unless addressed directly.

Announcer (home games only)

The Announcer will announce the game from the “booth” at  all home games.

Concessions (home games only)

Volunteers in the concession stand and will fill customer orders, restock the beverage cooler as needed, make drinks as needed and help prepare and serve food items.

Photographer (optional)

Take photos of players and coaches during game/ practice – usually wanted for season ending video. 

Portable Shade (to be coordinated by Head Coach and/or Team Parent)

Bring a portable tent to games.

Post Game Reporter (optional)

If we have a parent who would like to write a brief summary of our games and submit it with a photo to the local papers & to the web manager for publishing.
 

Game/Season Video (optional)

Will video tape all games and scrimmages and distribute them to the coaching staff. The coaches and the team will review the film (and parents can watch if they are around.) May put together a team highlight film at the end of the season.
