At what age can my son / daughter join BCYFL?
BCYFL teams begin at the 3rd Grade Level. We have a 3rd Grade/4th Grade split team, a 5th Grade team, a 6th Grade team, a 7th Grade team and an 8th Grade team.
What equipment will my player need?
BCYFL provides one pair of game day pants with integrated pads, game day jersey, one practice jersey, shoulder pads, helmet, one pair of black football socks, and one mouth guard.
Players will need to purchase their own football cleats and optional practice pants.
There is a fee for equipment not returned at the end of season.
When are practices and games?
Practices are weekdays, Monday-Thursday.
Games are Saturdays. Home Games are played at Bullock Creek High School. Away Games are played at other schools.
In order for your player to be eligible to participate, there are Practice Requirements to begin our season. These are requirements for the safety of your player.
- 3 days of conditioning with just helmets then full pads and contact occur on the 4th practice
- if for any reason your player misses one of the 1st three practices they will not be able to participate in any full contact until they complete the 3 days of conditioning
- there are no exceptions
Are Sports Physicals required?
BCYFL requires completion of an annual sports physical for each player. The physical must be completed on or after April 15 of the current year to be considered valid for the fall season. Most medical offices have copies of the MHSAA Sports Physical form on file. We also have a copy included on our Resources website page.
Can I purchase a visor for my player's helmet?
Yes, parents may choose to purchase Helmet Visors for their player's helmet, however they MUST be clear. There is no tint permitted in accordance with the rules of our League.
What is the current COVID Policy?
BCYFL will follow any policy put in place by the Bullock Creek School District. When policy changes are received from the District, we will communicate all updates to parents as they apply to our BCYFL.
