2026 Spring T-Ball

T-Ball (Coed)
Kindergarten and 1st Grade

Tee Ball is for both baseball and softball players.  Players hit from a batting tee and play conventional positions in the infield. Build skills, play hard, and have fun! Practices at Sargent develop fundamentals, while games at Murphy’s dirt infields bring fast-paced action and a chance to practice teamwork and sportsmanship.

The spring season runs from after April break to the end of the school year, with all-league clinics before break (weather permitting). Each team will practice on one weekday from 5:30-6:30 pm, and play a 1-hour game Saturday morning (between 9:45 am and noon) or Sunday afternoon (times depend on the number of teams, but will end no later than 3 PM). In registration, select all weekdays the player is available for practice and whether they are available for games Saturday and/or Sunday. They will be assigned to a team with a single practice day and single game day. Choosing ALL days you are available for gives us flexibility in forming teams of the appropriate size.

Location of events: Practices at Sargent, games at Murphy

*Baseball players who are in 1st grade can choose Tee Ball or Single A. This is a family decision. If a first-grader has never played baseball before and/or does not make consistent contact with a ball on the tee, they may prefer tee ball.

*Softball players who are in 1st grade should choose Beginner Softball.

Junior League softball is an instructional league that serves as an introduction to competitive softball with standings and playoffs. Player evaluations will be conducted in March (date TBD), ahead of team placement, to ensure a competitively balanced league. All players will be asked to participate.

USA Softball Rules are modified at this level. Games are player pitched unless a walk occurs. After four balls the strike count continues, a coach comes in to pitch, and the at-bat is completed with a batted ball or a strikeout. There are limited steals allowed per inning and stealing home is not permitted. These and the additional rule changes all are intended to improve the speed of play and create games that are fair and balanced.

Senior Softball League
6th, 7th, and 8th grade

Games: Monday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday starting the week of April 27th.
Game Times: 6:00pm (weeknights) / Saturday afternoons
