CHANGES TO SCYFL FOR 2023 SEASON
SCYFL is now part of a new league called Youth Football of Southern Indiana
League consists of teams from: Silver Creek, Floyd Central, Providence & Clarksville
WHAT'S DIFFERENT?
Smaller roster sizes
Less schools/More Teams
Silver Creek anticipates having 3 teams per tackle division
Ideal Roster Sizes include: 12 for Rookie Tackle, 15 for JV and 15 for Varsity
Modified field/8 Man for 1st & 2nd Grade Tackle - Shrink the field to increase competition, Less players on field require smaller amount of linemen, and we will follow USA Football's Guidelines for Rookie Tackle
FLAG (K-1st)
SCYFL is excited to introduce this level of football (USA Football)
This will be 7x7 teams with 1/4 of the Varsity field being the size of the field used (hash to sideline/40 to G)
In house is our goal but most likely we will partner with Floyd Central
Equipment provided by SCYFL will include; Soft Helmet/ Flags/T shirt jersey
CHEER
Changes include: Cheerleaders will cheer for their age group this season (Unless they have a sibling playing in a different age group, then they will cheer for their sibling's team)
