Parent Expectations
We want our parents to enjoy watching their kids play soccer, however, we would like to request that all parents/spectators exhibit appropriate behavior. All behavior displayed by players, coaches & parents reflects directly on the club.
Cuervos FC requires all parents to follow the club’s code of conduct and guidelines. As a Cuervos FC parent, you agree to:
Respect the game, coaches, players, match officials and other parents at all times.
Commit your child to Cuervos FC for half year or full registered year depending on division.
Make sure your child is on time to and from all practices and arrives 15-20 minutes prior to games. Notify coach of any illness, injuries, vacation, or other absences in advance.
Agree to pay all financial commitments to Cuervos FC by deadline. Failure to do so may result in player suspension until fees are paid.
Allow coaches to have uninterrupted time with players during practice and games. Please set up a meeting time with the coach for any concerns outside of practice and games. All volunteers have families to get home to.
Understand that Cuervos FC is a competitive environment. Playing time, positions, lineups and teams are based on ability and performance. We will do our best to give 50% playing time. Any concerns with team placement or with playing time require a coach meeting to be scheduled. You will not request until 24 hours after the game. Teams are solely based on the coaches and director of training’s discretion.
Allow the use of your child’s name and/or photo on the Cuervos FC website, social media, or other outlets by the club.
Agree that your child plays soccer only for Cuervos FC and not any other competitive soccer organizations within the same league of their division league play.
Refrain from sideline coaching. We want to discourage parents from coaching since it could contradict with what the coach wants the team to do. We also would like the players to use their instinct to teach them game awareness. You may cheer them on in any other positive way!
You will encourage your child to have good sportsmanship with match day officials, players, parents, and coaches.
Neither coaches, parents nor other team supporters may be present behind goals or on the first 18 yards of each sideline beginning at each corner. These "clear zones" protect keepers and players taking corner kicks.
Failure to follow code of conduct will result in removal from fields and suspension from attending.
