FAQ - Rec Program

What does my registration fee include?
LCGSA recreational registration fees include: Uniform and all referee fees for every game. Your player will provide their own shin guards, cleats, soccer ball, and water for both practices and games.

What size ball do I need?
U6: Size 3
U8: Size 4
U10: Size 4
U12: Size 4
U15: Size 5
U19: Size 5

When will the season start?
Each season is generally 10 weeks long, with 8 games.

Fall Season: practices usually start late August/early September with games starting mid-September. 

Spring Season: practices usually start mid-February with games starting early March.
Our Spring season is followed by our annual LCGSA tournament. 

In the Fall all games will be finished prior the week of Thanksgiving and in the Spring there will be no games scheduled over Easter weekend.


What days and times are practice? 
All of our coaches are volunteers, so practices are scheduled on what works best for them! Once you are assigned a team, your coach will provide practice days, times, and location once they receive their roster. If you absolutely cannot attend the time and date given by your coach, we can find a team that fits your schedule if available!


When and where are games &/or practices located?
LCGSA recreational games are played Saturday mornings at Lexington County Soccer Complex (301 Duffie Drive Lexington, SC 29072). Find your field here: Field Maps

Games are usually scheduled within the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

LCGSA holds practices in the following areas: Lexington, West Columbia, Batesburg-Leesville, Gilbert, Pelion/Swansea/gaston
Please note: this varies by age group and season participation enrollment.

How often does my player practice?
U6: One hour a week
U8 & U10: Two days a week
U12 & up: Two days a week for an hour and a half each
