Entering its 8th
season, Stamford Peace is an elite travel basketball
program serving boys and girls grades
2 thru 11. The program uses high level basketball competition, training
and instruction as a means of teaching the
importance of education and
other essential life skills to elementary
through high school age
students from diverse socioeconomic, religious,
racial and ethnic
backgrounds primarily across lower Fairfield County,
Connecticut. Among the life lessons emphasized to Stamford Peace participants are the value of
teamwork, discipline, a strong
work ethic, personal
integrity, sportsmanship and resiliency.
The broad
pursuit of excellence – on
and off the basketball court – is a cornerstone of
the Stamford Peace
program.
In 2011-2012, Stamford Peace had a
total of 14 boys’ and girls’ grade-level teams. We expect to have at least 17
teams in the coming year, with certain grades having more than one team - including
elite teams and developmental teams
– depending upon capability and demand.
Moreover, additional boys’
and girls’ teams may be started in the future. If you are interested in seeing
a team started that is not currently available within Stamford Peace, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
