Good Afternoon Parents!

Opening Day is right around the corner on Saturday, March 25th. We will be at the Clayton Community Park at 1075 Amelia Church Rd, Clayton, NC 27520. 

Parking will be limited at the ballfield, but you may park at Christ the King Church (see image below) across the street from the park. We encourage carpooling if possible. 

We need all kids at the park by 8:30am to ensure they are lined up with their team before 9am. Once you arrive and drop off your child to Field 1 make your way to Field 3 to enjoy the ceremony. At 9am the kids will walk with their team through the crowd from Field 1 to Field 3 (parade path notated on the image below). At this time you can take pictures and enjoy watching them walk and be introduced onto Field 3. 

Here is the schedule for the morning:

8:00-8:30am Players Arrive

8:30-9:00am Organize Players for the Parade on Field 1 outfield (please try to keep players off the infield dirt). Coaches and volunteers will be able to get kids organized with their team.

9:00-9:30am Players Parade from Field 1 to Field 3 (this area will be marked off)

9:30-10:00am Opening Ceremony

10:00-12:00pm Individual and Team Photos on the back of Field 2.

11:00am Games Begin

After the ceremony we will have photos on Field 2. You will enter through the gate at the back of Field 2 (on the Field 1 side). We have 4 photographers there for the day and will work through the schedule below. Please make sure you are there before your time starts to ensure a smooth process. Coaches for the first 4 teams (Minor A’s, Minor Braves, MP Padres, and MP Yankees) will walk their kids over to the photographers and meet parents there. 

Jerseys will be here early next week, and we’ll be in touch with coaches for pick up times. All players will receive a jersey, socks, and a belt. Players are to wear gray pants.
