About Us/Code of Conduct
Mission:
We
are committed to providing players of all levels and backgrounds the
opportunity to learn and play the game of soccer within a supportive and
positive environment, developing players and leaders of the future.
Programs
The Albion Soccer Club offers two sets of programs based on the age of the
player.
Co-ed Recreational Program: For youth ages 4-10, this program introduces children to
soccer. It focuses on the fundamentals of
the game, and skill development as well as fitness, teamwork, and
sportsmanship.
·
When: July through August; practices and games hosted in Albion. Registration opens in April.
Summer Travel Soccer as part of Rochester District Youth Soccer League
or RDYSL: From age 10 and up, our goal is to provide players with a competitive
team environment to improve their skills and work to reach their full
potential. Our participation in this league is driven by a desire to teach and
improve each player’s technical, tactical,
physical and psychological areas of their game. The
Albion Central School District Soccer program coaches lead and oversee this
program to facilitate a solid summer training program for varsity and junior
varsity players and students who wish to play at that level. Summer travel
soccer is not required to play or try out for JV or Varsity soccer at Albion,
but highly encouraged.
·
When: May through July; requires
travel within a 50-mile radius of Orleans County
·
Registration opens in the fall of the
previous year.
Our Four Pillars
1. Develop The Player: The well-being of our players is
paramount. We put the player first and develop them in the four areas of the
game (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological). Players of all abilities
will grow with our program.
2. Develop The Person: We will always strive to develop young
people who possess and refine the characteristics needed to succeed away from
the soccer field. We value and we expect hard work, humility, integrity,
respect, responsibility, and a growth mindset above all else.
3. Develop The Club: We will work together as a
community—coaches, players, and parents to create OUR CLUB that we can be proud
to be part of. On and off the field we will represent ourselves and our club in
the best possible way. We will maintain a level of decorum that our community
can be proud of
4. Develop The Future: We will create a pathway for our
players to be successful on and off the field. Ultimately, we will create a
better future for our school district’s soccer program and our community
through the development of future soccer players and leaders.
Our
Team
The
Albion Soccer Club’s success depends on the time and talents of people in our
community who are willing to support the club’s goals and mission through
volunteering. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to
our team. There is always work to do!

Code
of Conduct
We expect our athletes to uphold the Code of Conduct as part of the Albion
Soccer Club. We recognize there is a competitive nature when playing, and our athletes
are to conduct themselves appropriately during the games they win, as well as the
games they lose. Athletes are expected
to have a demeanor that improves their team, as well as themselves. An
advisor/coach may suspend a student for unsportsmanlike conduct. All violations
of the Club’s code of conduct will be resolved by a committee consisting of the
coach/advisor and the Albion Soccer Board.
