Mission Statement:
The mission of the Bulldog Youth Wrestling Club is to introduce area youths to the sport of wrestling. A positive teaching approach will be utilized to help students learn basic moves and techniques of the sport which will also help build self confidence in each individual. Athletes will be introduced to the "team concept". Rules of "scholastic style wrestling" will be taught with a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship and fair play. The goal is for each child to gain a solid foundation for continued growth toward the varsity level. Many of our local high schools are already benefiting from wrestlers participating in our program.

Coaches’ Expectations of the Wrestlers:
1.Positive attitude
2.Proper attire (t-shirt, shorts, clean sneakers or wrestling shoes, no jewelry, trimmed fingernails, and headgear/knee pads are optional)
3.Attentive - especially during instruction
4.Respectful of coaches
5.Respectful of other wrestlers
6.No fighting or hitting of any kind
7.Give their best effort
8.All wrestlers with braces MUST wear mouthguards. Mouthguards are strongly recommended for tournament wrestlers.
