MYBSA
is a community based non-profit league that supports and organizes
youth baseball & softball activities and teams for the children of
Mildred ISD communities (Mildred, Navarro, Eureka, and surrounding
areas).
MYBSA is the local league affiliate for the statewide Texas Teen-Age Baseball-Softball Association (TTAB/S).
MYBSA teams play in the Richland Chambers
Baseball-Softball Association league, which typically includes teams in
our local area such as Rice, Kerens, Blooming Grove, Dawson, Frost,
Wortham.
Each year MYBSA organizes teams from age 4-15 in different age groups to
provide a positive, fun environment for all children in the community
who have a sincere desire to learn the game of baseball & softball.
Players learn the game and develop skills during practices and games
that focus on the fundamentals.
MYBSA teams compete against one another & against teams from other
communities of similar size in the Richland Chambers Baseball-Softball
Assopciation. Once the regular season is completed, the top two teams in
each age division participate in Regional Tournaments, with the top two
teams from each Regional tournament then qualifying for the TTAB/S
State Tournament. MYBSA typically qualifies several teams for the State
Tournament and has won several State Championships!
In addition to supporting community youth through its athletic programs,
MYBSA has also been a valuable asset to the community by assisting in
the repair and maintenance of athletic facilities used by the entire
community, hosting tournaments that bring in numerous visitors to the
community, as well as preparing our youth for baseball & softball at
the high school level.
Mildred ISD programs benefit by having a group
of young boys and girls who have the fundamental skills that a school
coach can build upon. Each year many of the High Schools that have teams
in the Texas UIL State Baseball & Softball Tournaments, have
benefited from a strong local TTAB/S program.
The ultimate goal of MYBSA is not to develop outstanding players; it is
to develop outstanding young men and women who can play great baseball
& softball. This is done teaching our players cooperation, team
work, communication and citizenship along with, batting, catching, and
pitching.
Although we fully support Mildred ISD and its athletic programs, MYBSA
is self-funded and supported by community volunteers and is not
financially supported by the district or tax payer funds.
