The Delray Beach American Little League was established in 1971 by Founders Eddie (Red) Odom and Yvonne Odom who are also long time residents of Delray Beach. Since then, they have been setting the pace of excellence by providing baseball programs of instructional quality to all of its participants. As a result, the program has earned honors for their commitment to the local community and its players.
Each year the Delray Beach American Little League on average has field some 20-25 teams from Tee Ball League through Seniors. Its volunteer core of more than 100 people from its board members, coaches, and umpires continue to set the pace of excellence to provide the highest quality of play for its players.
For 54 years, the Delray Beach American Little League has provided the opportunity for youngsters to participate in organized baseball in the Delray Beach area. Delray Beach American Little League is a huge success through its volunteers and sponsors.
The objective of the Delray Beach American Little League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to become good, decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.
