The School Enrollment Form

One of the criteria that can be used to determine if your child can play at Southwest Little League is the location of the school he or she attends. Just like your residence, if your child's school is within our boundaries--even if your home is not--he can play with us. Schools in our area include Auburn Area Catholic School, Auburn Elementary, Kolb Elementary, MacKensen Elementary, McAlear-Sawden Elementary, St. John's Lutheran School, Trinity Lutheran School, Western Middle School, and Zion Lutheran School. If you think your child's school might be in our area go the Little League League Finder website, type in the school's address, and click Find. Little League will let you know what league's boundaries the school falls into. If your school is in our boundaries and you don't see it listed, send me an email at [email protected] and I will add it to the list so you can choose it when you register your child.

Once you have registered you will need to download the School Enrollment form from the Little League Forms and Publications center. You will fill out the top part of the form and then take it to your school administrator to fill out the bottom portion. Our league name is Bay City Southwest Little League and our league ID is 1221404. Once it is filled out and signed you can scan it into your computer, or even take a picture of it, and then upload it to the registration site. To upload it, go to your account page and click on the edit button next to your child's name. This will take you to his or her information and at the bottom of the page you will see a line that says "School Enrollment." Click on the blue circle with the plus sign in it and you can then upload the filled out School Enrollment form. The only file types that will be accepted are .png, .gif, .jpg, and .pdf. The maximum file size is 10MB.

As I stated at the beginning of this, residency can be determined by using either your home's location or your child's school location. If your child's school is within our boundaries I would recommend using that, even if your home address is within our boundaries. Why, you ask? Because there is a lot less paperwork for you to have to mess with. Little League requires specific proof of residence from three different categories and it can often be difficult and time-consuming to locate them all. However, a properly filled out School Enrollment form is all that is required to take the place of all that. So, even if you live in our area, the School Enrollment form can be less hassle to ensure your child can play with us.
