BCSWLL Major/Minor Game Day Rules (Updated 2025)
1. Home and away games are determined by the schedule provided prior to the beginning of the season.
2. HOME team responsibilities:
a. Chalking baseline
b. Putting out bases
c. Raking field
d. Clean and sweep HOME dugout after each game
3. AWAY team is responsible for
a. Raking infield
b. Putting away bases/equipment if they are the LAST game
c. Clean and sweep AWAY dugout after each game
d. Make sure equipment shed and field is locked.
4. All teams are allowed THREE (3) coaches. Additional help to be cleared in advance by the league President or league representative in their absence.
5. BOTH teams must log pitch counts for BOTH teams. Each manager must record pitch counts for their team in the league office after each game.
6. Managers must log WIN/LOSS after each game in the league office.
7. No more than five (5) warm-up pitches to start each inning. A new pitcher entering the inning may throw eight (8).
8. All FIRST HALF games have a 90-minute (1 hour 30 min) time limit. NO NEW INNING shall start after the 90-minute time limit. If game is tied, it is recorded as a tie.
9. All SECOND HALF games have a 105-minute (1 hour 45 min) time limit. NO NEW INNING shall start after the 105-mimnute time limit. If game tied, it is recorded as a tie.
10. Any game being played as a playoff game that will determine the winner of the half or league championship must be played until a winner is determined. Games do not have a time limit and will follow Little League mercy rules and 4 inning complete game rule in case of weather.
11. A team may use a pinch runner for the catcher or pitcher when there are two (2) outs and can be a bench player or player who scored the last out of the inning prior.
12. Forfeit Rule: Team may play with eight (8) players, with the missing ninth (9) player counted as an out when next in batting order. If eighth player joins game late, play resumes per normal rules.
13. MINORS: Four (4) outfielders may be used at the discretion of the coach.
14. MINORS: In the event of an “Overthrow” and the runner advances, this is not considered as a base stolen.
15. NO postgame meetings on the field. Games need to start on time given daylight restrictions.
16. All-Star coaches or determined by the league President.
