Strong Turnout at First Ever NH Little League Umpire Clinic

Both New Hampshire Little League districts teamed up together to host the first ever free umpire clinic this past weekend. Special thanks to Ricci Hall, Dave Kudej and Mike Orlando from East Region headquarters for taking the time to help instruct and teach this past weekend. After months of planning Cam Bernard (District 1 UIC), Rob Hall (District 1 Assistant UIC) and Jeff Ross (District 2 UIC) helped guide over 90 new and veteran umpires through a great weekend of training. New Hampshire had a wide amount of umpires selected to World Series and Regional assignments this upcoming summer: Jeff Ross Senior League World Series, Boyd Stevens Intermediate World Series, Dave Macary LL East Regional Softball, Rob Hall LL East Regional Baseball and Cameron Bernard East Regional Intermediate division. The umpires that attended this event experienced new mechanics, on field positioning and rule explanations. Veteran umpire Phil Levesque was significant addition to the team of instructors as he was able to umpire the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania this past Summer. New Hampshire Little League hopes to continue their effort in growing the state wide umpire program by holding this event again next year and helping local league develop a Junior Umpire programs. If you are interested in becoming an Umpire please reach out to your local or district Chief Umpire for more information.
