Soccer tournaments have become an instrumental tool in helping promote player and team development. MCYSA Member Clubs host tournaments throughout the calendar year. Some events are designed to assist a team's tune-up for an up coming season, others fall in the middle, or near the end of a playing season.
Tournaments provide a special opportunity for teams to play outside of the league, sharpen their skills, build team and soccer family chemistry, try new formations, players to play new positions, have outside players play-in for few games, or are played just for the fun of it. The competition levels of tournaments vary from fun events to celebrate Halloween to highly competitive in-season tournaments. In either case, it is encouraged that MCYSA teams support member clubs by participating in Tournaments in or around the Region hosted by member clubs.
