2025 Fall TOPS Special Needs Soccer

TOP Soccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based program for young athletes with special needs. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age four to nineteen, who would benefit from more individualized attention.

Program 1:
This would be most appropriate for players who want a more structured session. There will be skills and drills offered as appropriate for each participant. The goal of this session is to offer both an appropriate space for participants that need a safe area to practice and learn soccer in as well as those that want to learn more skills and soccer knowledge. This program would be appropriate for those with limited mobility and that understand safety rules. 

Program 2:
This would be most appropriate for those that like flexibility, running around, kicking the ball around and will have less structure. There will be skills and drills offered as appropriate for each participant. This program would be appropriate for those children with disabilities including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, or developmentally delayed.

Program 3: This program combines the structure from Program 1 and Program 2.

Volunteer Mentors, age twelve to adult, are paired with the athletes to help demonstrate drills and foster interactions between players.

Included in fee: jersey, shorts, socks,
For this program you will need: sneakers or turf shoes (no cleats), a water bottle, and shin guards under socks

2025 Fall Youth Academy (1/1/2018 - 8/31/2019)

This special program is designed just for young soccer enthusiasts! Players will learn to move their bodies around a soccer field and balance while manipulating a ball. Our focus will be on fun movement games to strengthen gross motor skills and introduce the concept of teamwork.
 
This course is instructed by professional trainers and parent volunteer and has limited enrollment available to non-residents of South Windsor.
Players practice on a weekday night and play a match on Saturday.

Parent participation is encouraged to make young children comfortable with this soccer experience.
 
First practice will be week of September 1
First game: Sep 6th
Final game: Oct 18th
Location: Pleasant Valley Elementary School Lower Field

Parent Volunteer Positions for Youth Academy:

  1. Assistant coaches - will support the professional trainers during weekday training and lead scrimmages on Saturday.

  1. Team Manager - will support the program in checking in players, providing pinnie numbers and directing players to appropriate field. The support will be needed during practice as well as during scrimmages.


UNIFORMS FROM FALL SHOULD BE KEPT TO WEAR DURING THE SPRING SEASON FOR RETURNING Players.
For this program, you will need: sneakers or cleats, a water bottle, shin guards under socks and size 3 ball.

2025 Fall U16-U19 Rec Soccer (2007-2010)

Program Description: 
Players in our Recreational Soccer Program ("Rec") are assigned to a team that practices one night per week and plays one weekend game. This is a less competitive program with a focus on having fun and learning new skills.

Note:
U16-U19 play both home and away games.
This is a CoEd program

First week of practice: Week of September 1
First game: September 6
Final game: Saturday, Oct 18th

PROGRAM 1: Youth Academy Soccer Stars Skills Clinic – Under the Lights!

Timings : U7/U8 ( Age Range - 9/1/2017 - 8/31/2019) - 5:30 - 6:15 pm

Is your child serious about developing their soccer skills? 

Our Soccer Stars Skills Clinic is designed for 6 & 7-year-olds who are ready to take their game to the next level. Held under the lights and led by our professional UK trainers, this high-energy clinic focuses on boosting confidence, creativity, and technical ability with the ball. 

Players will work on individual skills such as dribbling, sharp passing, accurate shooting, and dynamic ball control through fast-paced, engaging drills and games.
