WHO IS READY FOR SOME PRETZEL FOOTBALL!! Registration is now opened for the Fall 2021 season.  For all NEW players to Tackle football registration will be $50 for this year. We have lowered the registration for returning players to $75 for those register between now and June 18th . After that, the fee will be $100.  Flag football will be $35 this year and will be played during the week instead of on Saturday morning.   We have a new registration system this year.  If you experience problems, please text Karissa at 217-341-5949. She should be able to help.

The goal of our program is to teach children from Kindergarten to 8th grade football and sportsmanship as they build strong bodies and confidence. Our players are from Waverly, Franklin, and New Berlin school districts and our home field is at New Berlin High School.

FLAG FOOTBALL RULES
GENERAL RULESThe game is played with 5 players on offense and 5 players on defense. The total roster usually consists of 10 players. There will be a 20 min. practice with the games being 40 minutes: halves are 20 minutes running time but in the last two minutes the clock is stopped for usual occurrences, such as out of bounds, penalties, incompletions, and dead balls. There is no kicking game (kickoffs, punts, or field goals). The teams start on their own 5 yard line and have 3 downs to get across the mid-field line and another 3 downs to score a touchdown. The quarterback cannot run and rushing the quarterback is permitted but the rusher must start 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage (and may rush as soon as the ball is snapped). A catch is legal as long as one foot of the receiver is in bounds at the time of the catch. TRASH TALKING IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.

FLAG FOOTBALL
Our philosophy is to help each individual athlete with his/her football abilities. Our focus is on learning and having fun. With that in mind, we strive to have our coaches provide equal playing time to all players..Each player will receive a NFL team Jersey and a flag belt. Players may wear football pants, shorts, or sweatpants, but they cannot have pockets or belt loops as they pose a danger to other players reaching out to grab a flag. All players are also required to wear a mouth-guard. Cleats may be worn but are not required
