Season Pushed Back

Good Evening,

JYFA informed area directors yesterday afternoon that our season has been pushed back two weeks. I agree with this decision as it buys us additional time to make informed decisions about our pending season. This will eliminate some of the conflicts we are facing from the spring sports that had delayed starts. During this time, we'll continue to gain additional players and volunteers. We expect to see how the virus continues to trend as we seek further guidance from our recreation partners and government officials.

There will be more information to come, but, as I understand it, we are only moving all planned activities back two weeks. At this point, this is very doable and a welcome adjustment to our season.

Some new deadlines impacted by this decision:
Draft August 9th
Bracketing August 14th
Practice Starts August 17th
Weigh In Week August 24 - 28
All games begin September 4th both 60's & 100's
