2026 Hawks Little League - Softball

Softball

Your softball age is your age on 1/1/2026, which is different than baseball. Please use this chart to check your athlete's league age before completing registration: https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2026-softball-age-chart/. We do not permit playing down in an age group and we cannot go by school grade level. The only exception are 12-year-olds. A 12-year can be placed in the Minors - Player Pitch division due to safety concerns, but is not permitted to be a pitcher.

Divisions

Instructional - Ages 6-7 - Saturdays only
Minors - Coach Pitch & Player Pitch- Ages 8-11. Includes a 12-game schedule and practices. Players registered in this division are required to attend a talent assessment. Once assessments are completed, your child will be placed on a team in either Coach Pitch or Player Pitch. Both divisions will play a 12-game schedule with practices during the week.
Majors - Ages 10-12. If you are not a returning Majors player, you are required to try out, even if you're 12 years old. If you do not try out, you will not be placed on a Majors roster. Majors level teams will play a 12-game schedule and weekly practices at the coaches discretion.

Coaches

Every team will need a Head Coach and 2 Assistant coaches. Rosters cannot be built until we have confirmed we have enough coaches. Coaches are also encouraged to attend the weekly clinics starting in March. If you're interested in being a Majors Softball coach, you must attend at least 3 clinics.
