All head and assistant coaches must have obtained the following within the previous 60 months and provided a copy to HBA:
- Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police
- Child Abuse History certification from the Department of Human Services

Additionally, they must affirm that they are seeking a volunteer position and are not required to obtain a certification through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  An FBI certification is required if you have not lived within Pennsylvania for the last 10 years consecutively or meet other situations described in the standard.
