Highlights

MUSC PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

All programs focus on player development as the first and most important objective.

 Player Development Program

The Morris United Soccer Club's Player Development Program is the initial entry to soccer for players aged 4-9 years old.  The program emphasizes developing a player's individual skills in a fun and safe environment.   The goal of the program is to grow the athlete's love of the game and to provide a base level of soccer knowledge and skill which will allow the player to continue his/her love of soccer at a level of intensity commensurate with her/his ability and commitment to the game through the Recreation, Travel and Academy programs offered by the Morris United Soccer Club.

 Recreation Soccer Program

The Morris United Soccer Club's Recreation Soccer Program is a Fall program devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without an emphasis on competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a life-long love of the game irrespective of their level of interest or ability.  The  Recreational program is open to ALL players from PreK (4 years) to 9th Grade (14 years) who just enjoy the game of soccer.   At the recreational level everyone plays equally, and emphasis is placed on learning basic skills and nurturing a love of the game.   Players in PreK - 2nd grade are automatically included in the Player Development program when they register for Fall Recreation soccer and receive structured training from Morris United Soccer Club's professional training staff.

 Travel Premier Program

The Morris United Soccer Club's Travel Premier program is a travel soccer program established to provide players looking for a multi-season (Fall & Spring) soccer experience that provides a higher level of intensity in training and competition than can be provided by the MUSC recreation program.  The MUSC Travel Premier program is more closely aligned with traditional town travel programs, but unlike most town travel clubs, all MUSC teams are coached and trained by licensed professionals.  Premier teams primarily play in Morris and adjacent counties and the commitment level is flexible enough to accommodate players who participate in other sports and activities.

 STA Program

The Morris United Soccer Club's STA program is the club's elite academy program and is geared toward the more committed player. STA provides a year round development program for players who are prepared to make the necessary commitment to be highly competitive both individually and as a team. STA teams play in the most competitive and nationally recognized leagues and tournaments throughout the state and region. STA is part of the regional and national player identification programs. STA players and their families also receive active assistance with the college selection process from a full time College Liaison.

STA Super 6's and Super 7's Program

The Morris United Soccer Club's STA Super 6's and Super 7's program is for players aged 5 and 6 who are on a pathway to participate in the STA program as they get older.   Players in this program participate in twice weekly practice sessions and festival (4v4 or 5v5) style games on weekends.   Limited spots are available for participants in this program.  STA siblings are guaranteed a spot in Super 6's and players are required to attend tryouts for Super 7's.

 TOPSoccer Program

TOPSoccer is national, community based soccer training program for youth athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has a mental or physical disability. The New Jersey Youth Soccer / US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer program provides affiliated organizations, such as Morris United Soccer Club, with ways to enable players with mental or physical disabilities to play soccer. The emphasis of this program is on development, training, and meaningful participation rather than on competition.
