Printmaking Workshop

Playing with Printmaking!

Get hands-on with printmaking in this summer workshop for students going into grades 7–12! Artists will explore a variety of techniques including eraser stamping, linoleum printing, and cyanotype sun prints. Along the way, students will journal and sketch in a personalized zine, experiment with composition and design, learn safe carving, and participate in the printing processes. In the final class session, students will print their own design onto a tote bag or tea towel to take home!

Week 1 – June 18

Create a zine-style sketchbook for planning and ideas
Intro to printmaking with eraser stamping
Artist name, initials, pattern, or logo
Stamp on classmate’s zines
MC Escher lesson
Begin planning a small lino pattern
Bring headphones tomorrow!

Week 2 – June 25

Transfer and carve lino blocks
Focus on craftsmanship and safe tool use
Print small lino pattern with stamp pads
Music and art connection lesson
Choose song, start planning design

Week 3 – July 2

Etch song design on cd
Print cd
Introduction to cyanotype printing
Prep paper for printing

Week 4 – July 9

Nature walk to collect materials for sun prints
Experiment with composition and exposure
Create cyanotype nature prints on paper
Cyanotype print photo negatives on paper

Week 5 – July 16

Final project: Print any designs on a tote bag or tea towel
Students choose their favorite method (lino, stamp, or cyanotype)

Healthy Eating on a Budget Workshop

Welcome to Wellness Wednesday Workshops with Roxanne Laskowski - Holistic Health Educator - Specializing in Nutrition and Lifestyle Transformation

Roxanne's nutrition workshops are practical, motivating, and interactive, with actionable steps you can begin to implement right away. With over 30 years of experience in the health and wellness space, she encourages making small, dietary changes over time, to make significant improvements to your health over time. Health is a lifelong journey, not a one-time destination. Come learn how to make wiser food choices that improve your metabolism, your energy levels, your immunity, emotional stability, and mental performance.

June Workshop: Healthy Eating on a Budget

This workshop will give you practical tools, tips, and strategies to help you make healthier food choices without breaking your pocketbook. Whether you are feeding one or ten, healthy eating can be affordable, achievable, and enjoyable. You will receive a helpful overview of the three main principles that determine a healthy diet; learn how to create a healthy meal plan based on your unique preferences, budget, and goals; and learn how to swap out common foods with healthier alternatives. Everyone will be supplied with a menu-planning guide and food shopping lists from local stores like ALDI, Walmart, Meijer, and Costco. The last 15 minutes will be available for Q & A.

This workshop will be offered twice in June. Space is limited.

Slow Pitch Softball Social League (COED 16+)

Grab your friends and join us for our Slow Pitch Softball Social League!

All skill levels are welcome as this is a social, non-competitive league!

Games will be played Tuesday nights at Paradise Park, June 30 - August 4. Time will depend on how many teams sign up.

Registration ends on June 16.

Team registration is up to 14 players COED (equal mix male/female), to allow for substitute players. You must be at least 16 years old to play.

Volleyball Late Fall 2026

This league is designed to improve volleyball skills and knowledge while having fun!

5/6th Grade Girls Division

Game days will be double headers in different locations within the lakeshore League.

Practices: 1-2 p/wk starting Mid-October
Games: Saturdays |Starting in November. No games to be held on Thanksgiving weekend.

Girls will need Volleyball knee pads and gym shoes.

Cost $40/per season.

Cost of Jersey is $25.

If you have one from the previous year that still fits you do not need to purchase one.

3/4th Grade Coed Division

This will be an in-house division. Practices will be held twice a week.

Skills/scrimmages in each practice session. There will be no weekend games.

There will be no shirt provided with this group.

Boys/Girls will need Volleyball knee pads and gym shoes

2026 Fall Rec Soccer

Youth soccer is our intro to the game of Soccer. Beginning at U6 where we start coed 4 vs 4 and adding more players and space as they advance.

Practices can start as early as the week of August 10th for the older levels.

Lower levels (in-house) will start Mid-September

Practice schedules will depend on coach availability and field availability.

Games will be begin the Saturday after Labor Day.

Summer League 7/8th grade girls Volleyball 2026

Get ready for your upcoming season of MS Volleyball!

This is a great opportunity to work on some skills before games next season.

This is open to MS Girls going into 7th and 8th grade for the 2026-2027 school year.

Program runs M/W evenings July 6th- August 12th. First game will be July 15th.

This will give teams three practices before games start.

Once games start practices will be held on Monday evening, games on Wednesday evening usually at Mac Bay MS or Holland West.

2026 Fall Flag Football K-4th

Flag Football K-2nd is for boys and girls in K-2nd grades who want to learn the fundamentals of football. Rosters may be composed of between 7 and 12 players.

No equipment is needed. Flags and pennies will be provided. Practices will start the week of September 14th. May have some cross over scrimmages with other teams.

Most play is in-house.

3/4th grade coed Flag Football. This program is designed to continue learning the fundamentals of football.

This is a non-tackling league.

Mouth-Piece and cleats are encouraged, but not required.

Practices can start the week of August 10th.

Games will be played with other rec programming.

K-2nd Grade
