OV moves to 2-0!

After an exciting week that saw the kids receive brand new helmet decals and uniforms, the Ohio Valley Wolfpac took on a very disciplined New Richmond Jr Lions team on Saturday. Starting out on defense, the Wolfpac would force the Lions to punt where they took over on offense on their own 44 yard line. After a time consuming drive, Christopher Reed capped off the drive with a four yard touchdown.

The Wolfpac and Lions continued to battle throughout the first half up until Tyshawn Dukes forced a fumble that was recovered by Khalil Harris on the 2 yard line of the Lions with 17 seconds left in the half. Christopher Reed would get his second touchdown of the day putting Ohio Valley up 12-0 at half time.

Throughout the game, the Wolfpac would only allow one first down and had 14 tackles for a loss continuing their run as a dominant defensive unit having now allowed only 1 first down in two games to go along with 6 turnovers and over 20 tackles in the backfield.

The Lions played great defense of their own and would not allow the Wolfpac to score in the second half resulting in a 12-0 victory for Ohio Valley to take them to 2-0.

Hamilton Little Blue Bulldogs are up next on Wednesday September 11th at 6:30pm.
