LABRAE YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION

Code of Conduct

LaBrae Youth Soccer Association Parent Code of Conduct

I hereby to provide support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in the LaBrae Youth Soccer Association by following this PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all participants, coaches, and officials. I will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent such as booing, taunting, or using profane language or gestures, etc.

I will remember that the LYSA is a RECREATIONAL league. A child usually forgets the outcome of the game; it is the adults that tend to stress the win/loss record.

I will ask my child to also treat other participants, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators with respect regardless of race, age, sex, creed, or ability.

I will also treat officials and coaches with respect, regardless of race, age, sex, creed, or ability. They are there to provide your child with a safe and healthy learning environment. Officials and coaches deserve the same type of environment from the parents and spectators.

I will strive to be a good role model for my child and the other children in the program. I will encourage my child to learn to lose with dignity and win with grace. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for any perceived mistakes or losses.

I will respect the time of my child's coach and do my best to have my child at all practices and games on time. I will recognize the importance of volunteer coaches. I realize they are important to the development of my child and the program. I will communicate with them and support their decisions.

I understand that PETS (dogs, cats, goats, etc.) are not permitted at LYSA fields.

As well as Smoking/vaping is prohibited at field of play. If you must do so, please remove yourself to the parking lot.

I understand that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to the following:

-Verbal warning by official, head coach, and/or member of league organization

-Written warning

-Parental game suspension with written documentation of incident

-Parental season suspension

Additionally, I understand that if I cannot abide by the above and must be removed from a game at ANY location but especially at a visiting community. I will be banned from LaBrae Youth Soccer home games for the remainder of the season.
