Hello Coaches and Parents,
Welcome back to BCYB! and thank you for signing your kids up and those parents who are volunteering to coach this season!
Team Rosters and practice schedules will be released to coaches and parents in mid-November once coaches and teams have been assigned. All game schedules will be released and available online at clubs.bluesombrero.com/BCYB “Team Central” by Sunday, November 28th.
** First issue, we need coaches in all divisions, including assistant coaches. Please solicit your friends and family to volunteer coach. This will cause delays for some teams to start practices or possibly not start at all. These kids want to play basketball, not issued a refund, therefore we need more parents to come out of their comfort zone to volunteer coach. It’s fun, memorable, and it will positively impact these kids for life. Don’t be afraid to come out and learn while making mistakes. Your willingness and the fact that you gave your best effort will be what matters the must. You won’t regret it!
There’s going to be some change in venues between the Chatigny, BHS, and San G Middle School since we cant play in the Chatigny on a continuous basis due to other events being held in the gym during our season.
DIVISIONS NEEDING HEAD & ASST COACHES:
Girls 5-7 years
Rookie Boys 5-6 years
Girls Division 2, 8-10 years
Girls Division 1, 11-13 years
Boys Division 3, 8-9 years
Boys Division 2, 10-11 years
Boys Division 1B, 14 plus years
Boys Division 1A, 12-13 years
COACHES ONLY:
Practices may begin at the Chatigny Ctr gym on 14 Feb, unless something changes at the Chatigny Ctr from a facility access standpoint. Optional Days: Mon – THU Times Available: 5pm – 8pm
Coaches, please email me your preferred OPTION 1 & OPTION 2 Practice Day & Time. Also, Friday the 18th of Feb is a bonus practice day option since it is the only day that we can have practices before all following Fridays will be game days.
A Zoom, GoogleMeet, or Teams Online coaches clinic will be this week TBD by VP [email protected] . Background check info will be collected by him.
