Introduction to North Shore Junior Baseball. NSJrB has been playing at A. A. Cole Elementary since 1962. A child cannot turn 7 before August 31 2025 in order to be eligible for this program. We will attempt to play 3 innings. There will be a 75 minute time limit. Games will be Fridays at A. A. Cole at 6 pm. Practices to be announced by the team head coach. There will be a picture day, trophies, and a family day with a buffet at a discount rate at Enchanted Forest Water Safari. The third inning will likely be for the kids who want to try coach pitch. The little ones (no minimum age, if they can swing a bat and run to first base with parental assistance, they meet the requirements to play) usually can't resist running to the playground for more than 45 or 50 minutes. This program is pretty flexible. We will limit teams to 7 players as best we can. My understanding is that we will still be able to play at the fields even with Constantia school closed. There are not enough cops in Oswego County to kick us off the fields any way, plus no one wants to turn on channel 9 Your Stories and see that.

Introduction to hitting a moving baseball, 3 outs per half inning, umpires, and an official scorebook. Official Little League rules will be enforced for this division. No stealing bases, no dropped third strike, no infield fly rule. Players will not be allowed to approach the mound while machine is in use. Official 8 and under baseballs will be used and fed into the pitching machine by a trained coach. We will play 4 innings or end at a 90 minute time limit. Games will be played at A. A. Cole on Thursdays at 6 pm starting May 1st until June 26th 2025. Other fields may be used as they become available and if the program grows. Practices will be announced by the coaches. Preseason practice begins when the fields are ready. Individualized lessons and clinics will be held weekly. Mondays pitching and catching. Tuesdays fielding and baserunning. Hitting on Wednesdays. Picture Day, Little League night at Mets Stadium in Syracuse, and Family fun day with buffet at a discounted rate at Enchanted Forest Water Safari will be announced.

Spring and summer schedule to be announced. Games and tournaments in the Oswego, Onondaga, and Oneida County area to be announced. Nice hats, nice uniforms, nice fields, special treatment, and a competitive atmosphere. Nothing is guaranteed except for the clothing and inividualized training and lessons. Fundraising for tournament fees required. Cooperative carpooling and transportation will be available as needed. Trophies and awards will not be given, but they may be earned.
