Saline FC is participating in the Summer Champions Cup!
Saline FC is excited to join clubs from around the area in the third season of the Summer Champions Cup (SCC). We had four teams play in the summer of 2019 and look forward to playing again this summer. Saline FC’s participation is driven on a team-by-team basis, with our coaches leading the formation, selection, and coaching of the teams over the summer.
Participants
If you are a Saline FC player, look for information to be coming from your coach and team manager on details of participation. If you are from outside the area and would like to be considered in joining our club for this competition over the summer, please reach out to [email protected] to be matched with the right team and coach to learn more. The teams that Saline FC is looking to form and enter for the summer are still to be determined, but we will adjust as we determine participation levels across our age groups.
Registration
We are currently registering players interested in the Summer Champions Cup. When we receive enough interest, registration including payment will open GotSoccer. Registration fee will be around $395 per player and will cover: Club Fee and Awards, Team Entry Fees, Referee Costs, Coach Fees, Uniforms, Club Admin, Coach/Player Reg Fee (Insurance), and Field Rental Fees. When a team is full or a team cannot be formed at a certain age group, the registration fee will be refunded in full.
Practice and Game Schedules
The summer season will take place over roughly six weeks immediately after tryouts, from June 15th through July 31st, but with no activity around July 4. All practices will take place between 5-8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and games held during the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. More information is available on www.summerchampionscup.com. The focus of this program is to have weekends free to enjoy with family and friends, and soccer during the weeknights, including games, for training and development for players.

Format
The teams will be playing the format that is appropriate for their fall age groupings, so if your player is bumping up from 7v7 to 9v9, or from 9v9 to 11v11, this will give them a leg up on the fall season – getting used to the larger field and format in a more relaxed, fun environment.
