City Lacrosse is dedicated to helping students achieve their goals thru Lacrosse. Our mission is to provide youth with access to club sports regardless of their economic situation. In today's society sports provide amazing opportunities for youth to not only develop important social and leadership skills, but also build the talents to earn college scholarships to continue playing their sport. Club sports clubs provide an opportunity for children and youth to learn skills that will help them in school, as well as in their future careers and personal relationship. Through engagement in Lacrosse, they learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, self-discipline, and a sense of initiative.
Most student athletes that continue to play competitive sports in college, typically play Club sports many times starting in Middle School. They do this not only to develop their game but equally important to get exposure to college coaches. It is through that exposure that student athletes earn the opportunity to attend college and play their sport for that school.
The economic reality is that Club sports are expensive, and many families are unable to afford the costs associated with playing for a club. Typically, just the annual cost to belong to a team is between $2,500 and $3,000 and this doesn't include equipment, uniforms and travel costs which can easily add another $1,000 per year.
City Lacrosse is designed to level the playing field and give any child that is passionate about playing Lacrosse, the opportunity to play club sports and use sports as a vehicle to get a college education.
Our goal is to ensure that every child that wants to use Lacrosse to better their future, have that opportunity - Period.
