Parents to get their player verified.
https://www.nationalsportsid.com/gfl-age-grade-verification/
Players with an NSID account simply open the link, scroll down and click on their association name, sign in, then select child’s cheer or football age group. Once that’s completed they have officially joined the league.
From there they should receive a red pop-up box with the link for the code of conduct/covid waiver.
Next, they should view their child’s Sports ID and it will say when they need to “renew” their account by. As long as they renew the account prior to its expiration date, their child will remain age verified. They should not have to resubmit the birth certificate or school record unless their account is either already expired, or the age verification was never completed correctly last year.
Players without an NSID account, open the link, scroll down and click on their association name, then select “sign up” and follow steps to create your account. They will then be asked to complete the age verification and will need their child’s birth certificate (or passport or state id), school record, recent headshot of the child and a debit or credit card to complete the age verification process. There are instructions for completing the age verification on NSID’s website at https://www.nationalsportsid.com/help-desk/get-my-child-a-verified-sports-id/ for any parent having trouble.
There are how to videos available on NSID’s website as well as the “Live Help” option. If you have any questions on how to do something, you may call, email or text me but please do not give my name, email or phone number out to any of your parents to contact me directly. Also, please do not call me just to ask me to check to see if someone who signed up did it right. If a new sports ID is orange (in process) or green (completed) and on the person’s dashboard under “my tournaments and leagues” it says your parks name, then they did it right.
