Pateadores HB G2003

The Pateadores HB Blue girls had a great weekend on the beach playing in the HB Sand Soccer Tournament June 6th and 7th. The girls played in a difficult Flight 1 bracket in a pool with solid Flight 1 Legends and SoCal Blues teams. The girls advanced out of pool play to face the Blues EGSL team in the final. The score at the half was 1-1, with the girls taking that score until very deep into the game when the Blues picked up a couple of late goals to take the championship. The girls had a great weekend and definitely earned their medals.





 

The Pateadores HB Blue GU11 team took the Anaheim Cup after a hard fought weekend of soccer. The girls finished Saturday undefeated taking close 2-1 and 1-0 victories. The Pats girls opened up the offense early Sunday morning taking a 4-0 win over CVU to take the group and advance to the championship game Sunday afternoon. Facing a very athletic Canyon FC team that had gone undefeated in group play as well, the Pats girls took and early 1-0 lead. The girls shut down the strong Canyon offense and closed out the Championship by that same 1-0 score. That's two in a row for the Pateadores HB Blue team who took the LA Cup Championship at StubHub Center in mid December. Congrats girls!!

 

The Pateadores HB Blue GU11 girls won the LA Cup on December 14th at StubHub Center. The girls played solid in group play to secure a place in the semifinals on Sunday afternoon. In the semifinals, the girls secured a 1-0 win over a talented Santa Monica United team with an early goal from Caroline Parsons and great shutout play in goal from Mackinzie Stenstrom. The Pats girls faced a great Beach FC Gold (Flight 1) team in the finals and took an early 1-0 lead under the lights at StubHub Center. Beach put the pressure on late securing a tying goal in the last minute of play. The game went to PKs with critical goals coming from Ellie Gordon, Reese Woodson, and Caroline Parsons. Several key saves from Stenstrom secured the victory 3-2 in PKs for the Pateadores HB girls.
