RYFA 2017 Election
VOTING ON OCTOBER 19TH
During October, RYFA will hold an election for the following positions:
Vice President of Operations
Secretary
Vice President of Cheer
Election Process:
Nominations:
Parents and Members of RYFA can send in nominations for the positions. The nomination period is from Tuesday, September 19, 2017 through Friday, September 19, 2017. Please email nominations to [email protected].
Election Committee:
After nominations are made, the election committee made up of RYFA members will make sure that the nominees are eligible for the position they would like to run for.
Campaigning:
Candidates will have the opportunity to campaign from October 9th - 18th. Prior to election day the candidates will have an opportunity to make a short speech and a statement made by the candidate will be emailed out to all RYFA members.
Voting:
Voting will take place on October 19th.
Who Can Vote:
Upon payment of the registration fee and the execution of the registration document, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the RYFA participant becomes a voting member of the Association. All approved Coaches are considered members of the association. Members will have voting rights for the election of the Executive Board Only.
SECTION II:
Anyone not having a child participating and desiring to become a member of the Association may do so by meeting the following requirement:
A. Make application for membership before September 1st of the current year.
B. Be approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Membership may be revoked or disciplinary action taken at any time with no refunding of fees, by the RYFA Executive Board for violation of the RYFA Constitution, By-Laws, Parents Code of Conduct or any other action deemed unsuitable.
